The Patient Accounting Application is the cornerstone of your WinMed Hospital Information System. This application allows you to control and manage your patient accounts.
The Admit/Discharge/Transfer application is utilized to admit an Inpatient into the hospital or register an Outpatient within a designated registration area. Patient Account Numbers and Medical Record Numbers may be assigned automatically or manually.
The system includes a Master Patient Index (MPI), which contains information needed by both the Admissions department and Medical Records departments.
The Medical Record Application serves the need of hospital administration, management, medical records, DRG coordination, utilization review, and all revenue producing departments in the hospital.
Patient Abstracting provides inquiry and maintenance of the medical history information for both inpatients and outpatients.
The Order Communications System (OCS) is an application offered with the WinMed Hospital Information System (WinMed/HIS). This application is utilized in conjunction with the Admit/Discharge/Transfer Application (ADT) and the Patient Accounting Application (P/A). The Order Communications System allows ancillary orders to be requested at the nursing station, the ancillary departments, or the department workstations. Orders are then transmitted to the appropriate departments. Results are also transmitted back to the nursing station or requesting department.
The General ledger Application serves the needs of hospital administration, financial management, and all revenue producing departments in the hospital. The application will reflect ten years of history financial information including statistical information.
The Accounts Payable Application is designed for multi-company processing. The application manages all payable invoices for the hospital including 1099's.
The WinMedHIS Payroll/Personnel Application
is designed to meet the needs which are unique to a
healthcare environment. This application is designed
to allow processing in either a multi-company
environment, or a single company environment. The
Payroll application contains the ability to
interface "external" employee hours from a
time-and-attendance systems.
The Materials Management System is an online, real-time interactive application which provides a cost and labor effective method of managing and controlling the Hospital's Inventory. The application is designed to function in a single Inventory Department, as well as multiple Inventory Departments.
The Assets/Depreciation System is designed for multi-company processing to track each hospital asset and accumulate depreciation for posting to General Ledger.
The Agency Billing System is part of the WinMed Patient Accounting System. Agency Billing allows you to generate specialized billing for agencies performing services for the hospital.
